We had a very interesting discussion with the folks at @hempbuild at the recent Self Builders exhibition in Dublin about building with straw and hemp. It has been a material I've been keen to get my hands on and explore the potential with our timber frame structures and traditional stone building restoration. We feel it will be PERFECT as a thermal lining on old stone walls - enabling breathability and heat retention - while solving the solution of uneven wall surfaces. Cant wait to introduce hemp to a project in the near future.
